“Running” or “Breaking” pliers are used to break glass after the glass has been scored. Simply align the jaws of the pliers over the score with the aid of the printed centre mark and gently squeeze. For repeated use, you’ll find it handy to use the set screw to adjust to the desired thickness and avoid squeezing too hard.
- curved jaws apply leverage to run the score
- centre mark makes it easy to correctly align the jaws to exert equal pressure on each side of the score
- adjustable set screw allows you to control the amount of pressure applied
